  A, transformer fault
  1, internal fault,
  Transformer internal fault mainly includes the interphase short circuit, windings turn-to-turn short circuit and the neutral point grounding system winding short circuit, etc. These great harm fault, because of the short circuit current to produce high temperature arc will burn winding insulation box of iron core, not only will cause the insulation materials and decomposition of transformer oil and produce a large amount of gas, is likely to make the transformer oil tank local deformation, rupture, or fuel tank explosion accident.   2, external fault
  Transformer transformer bushing are the main external fault and online derivation of interphase short circuit and grounding short circuit. This kind of failure occurs, should also be rapid removal of the transformer, to minimize the impact of short-circuit current of the transformer.
  Second, the transformer is not normal working condition

Third, the transformer protection device should be installed

(3) reflect the transformer and external short circuit and gas protection box as differential protection (or current instantaneous fault protection) backup over-current protection (or the overcurrent protection of compound voltage starting or negative sequence current protection).
(4) reflect neutral directly grounded system grounding transformer in the external, internal short circuit of zero sequence current protection.
(5) reflect the symmetrical overload transformer overload protection.
(6) reflect the transformer over-excitation protection.
